Tiger Woods: Give it up already.

Tiger Woods was recently in a car accident, which has many questionable causes. The media has given many different stories, and I don't know which one to believe.

The latest information that is being pushed onto the public is that Tiger Woods has been having an affair.

Big deal.

It seems to me that the more rich and powerful a guy becomes, the more likely he is to cheat. I think it was a given that the golfing prodigy would have some sort of affair or family dilemma sooner or later.

However, the story is booming. There are claims that Tiger has had over 10 mistresses while married to Elin Nordegren.

And now the Tiger wants to hide in his cage.

Since his recent car accident, Tiger hasn't left his home, except to go to the hospital right after. The most popular reason for the car accident is being at the home of his mistress, coming home late at night, then being chased away with a golf club.

And he doesn't want to talk about it.

It annoys me that celebrities don't want to talk about their personal lives, but that's what you give up when you start raking in the dough. If you don't want your personal life invaded, then don't ask for status. The most famous golfer in the world has possibly cheated on his wife - that's something people are going to want to dive into, investigate, and talk about. He is a role model for so many people, and so many people have already lost respect for him.

If he wants this to end as quickly as possible, he either needs to fess up and admit this happened, then work it out with his wife, or admit that he didn't do anything wrong, and let the gossip magazines do what they do best: gossip. Saying he doesn't want to comment leaves people's imaginations to run wild, and it causes a bigger problem than there already was.

He takes cases along the way, similar to a private eye, helping people in need of what only a spy can deliver to make his money.

The 43rd Country Music Awards were on Wednesday 11, 2009. Taylor Swift won four out of the six awards she was nominated for. No I don't believe that she should have won those four because of the artists she was up against. Lady Antebellum beat Rascal Flatts which to myself and friends was unbelieveable because Rascal normally wins what they are nominated for but didn't win anything this year!

The performances were unbelievable! Everyone who performed are great performers and did not let any music fans down. Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill (in a duet with Daughtry), Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Billy Currington, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney (in a duet with Dave Matthews), Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Reba, George Strait, and Sugarland. With a list like this you know it had to be a good night.

What an amazing night! I'm already looking forward to next year!

Lady Gaga "Works" Latest Video In 10-inch Heels

Lady Gaga's Newest Single, "Bad Romance" off of her upcoming re-release entitled, "The Fame: Monster," was nothing more than pure genius, if I may say so myself. From 12-inch tall plastic crowns, to a fur cape made from a bear-skinned rug, Gaga never ceases to amaze the public with her eye for fashion.

Just recently, Gaga premiered her newest song at Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 2010 Collection Plato's Atlantis; giving what most would say nothing but pure "individualistic persona," wearing the exact 10 inch gem-studded heels in her video that McQueen's models strutted down the Paris runway eariler this year.

According to Italian fashion magazine, "Grazia", McQueen has “been inundated with calls from women wanting to order the footwear – starting from the day after the designer’s incredible catwalk show was streamed live on the web,” which might make him really consider producing the shoes en masse.

As original, and tempting as this sounds; I have doubt that the overall public would go "Gaga" over a pair of 10 inch heels, yet say what you will, but you have to hand it to the man for his stretch to be an individual, and of course Gaga's.

A Christmas Carol: Not a Kids Christmas Movie

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a story that has been made many times including one featuring Mickey Mouse and his beloved friends. Every Christmas season children are told the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a stingy old man who will reply to a 'Merry Christmas' with 'Bah humbug'. I'm sure you've heard the story.

This season, they have once again produced another version only this time Jim Carrey, known mostly as a comedic actor, plays not only the role of Scrooge, but also the ghosts of past, present, and future Christmas that visit him. One would expect this movie to be comical in parts, however it is not comical at all.

The movie followed the actual book much more then previous versions and is incredibly dark and could easily scare a child. When the ghost of Marley appears to warn Scrooge of what is to come, as he swings his chains around, his jaw snaps and hangs from his face. The most disturbing however, is when the ghost of Christmas present reveals two disfigured beings from beneath his cloak representing the ignorance and want of mankind.
As a movie, it was an interesting take on the story for parents but not one for the kids.

Jon and Kate- Give us a Break!

When TLC first aired the reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8, it was a great success. Everyone was talking about it. And then their relationship hit the rocks. This made the television show even more popular with their relationship crumbling and the scandal that came along with it. Even though the show ends this month, everywhere you look, you see something about Jon or Kate. You just can't get away from it. Every magazine has something that pertains to the couple. Other television shows, such as ABC News, have jumped onto this wagon.
Well, all I can say is give us a break. We've heard enough. Let these people continue their lives without the continuous media coverage. They are just like any other couple having problems and that's just not news. News is what is happening to our nation and others surrounding us.

Vick as a Bill?

Michael Vick will never be viewed as a good addition to any good team, no matter how promising their future would be with him.

However, to a team that is 3-5, and lost to the Cleveland Browns, maybe Michael Vick would do some good.

The Buffalo Bills could use some help.

Not only would Michael Vick do well on the field, but it would give critics something to talk about besides their losing record.

One player certainly can't turn the program around in a season, but he could pave the way for the future of the team. The Bills seem open to the idea, because after their weekend bye, people said "well at least they can't lose this week."

I think Michael Vick would be a fantastic addition to this sub-par team. They could help Vick's image, too, and make fans, at least those of Buffalo, actually enjoy his play.

Favre Shouldn't be Boo'd at Lambeau Field

Since 1992, Brett Favre had been an integral part of the Green Bay Packers.

2009 marked the first season that Favre would play for another team, and that team, known well in the NFC as the Minnesota Vikings, played at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers on November 1st.

Brett Favre lead his new team to a great 6-0 start until they met the Super Bowl champions in week 7. Even still, the Vikings put up a good fight, and they bounced back during week 8 vs. the Green Bay Packers.

Although Favre wasn't met with the cheers and applause he used to receive at Lambeau, he was still up to par with his play.

I think if you are a true Packers fan, you shouldn't be booing a legend. 16 years as a Packer, and his fairweather followers have the nerve to boo him because he is in a purple uniform.

I, too, would be upset that he left the team I love, but I wouldn't boo him. Instead, I'd be happy that he got out of the bad luck of the Packers.

With the Vikings, he has another chance at a super bowl ring this year.

Or at least an NFC championship.

I'm rootin for ya, Brett.

This Is It has grossed 20.1 million on its opening day on October 28, 2009. This puts Michael Jackson’s movie just under Miley Cyrus’s, Cyrus’ best of Both Worlds. For being a film about Michael Jackson and the tour that he had worked on right before his death, it had a good opening.
The film has made it clear that although Jackson had a director that he himself directed his rehearsals and how the shows would look. This movie was made as a celebration of Jackson's life not to show the world how he was in his last few weeks and months alive. Jackson did not practice half way and just watch his performers but he sang and danced along side of them.

Can Cliff Lee be a Hero for the Phillies?

As Cliff Lee gears up to pitch tonight against his old Tribe pal CC Sabathia, the question will fly from everywhere: Who is going to get their team the first win of the 2009 World Series?

This pair of lefties go way back to the early 2000's, when the Indians had a fighting chance at a .500 season, and their pitchers were something to talk about.

The 2005 season made the two battle it out as the best Indians pitchers to enter the Jake. Then came 2008, when Cliff Lee had a 2.54 ERA and CC Sabathia was right behind him with a 3.83 ERA.

Then the Indians decided to trade their 2007 Cy Young Award winner. And then the Indians decided to trade their 2008 Cy Young Award winner. CC Sabathia to the Brewers, and Cliff Lee to the Phillies, respectively.

A 7 year, 161 million dollar contract later, Sabathia is a Yankee.

And now the two are to battle it out in game 1 of the 2009 World Series tonight.

The Phillies are hot from their World Champs title from 2008, and I think they are ready to defend it, and it all starts with Cliff Lee. To strike out 20 batters in 24 and 1/3 innings in the post season is pretty incredible.

This will be an interesting series, and I hope the Phillies own it in four.

Sweep those Yanks under the rug.

Chris Brown still having to defend himself after beating up his former girlfriend singer Rihanna last year. Rihanna is making a new album and filming a music video. How can she move on so quickly while he is still paying his debt? Get over it!

Miley Cyrus has said that she wants her private life kept private. But she is the one who keeps releasing videos on YouTube. The latest was a rap video that Miley and friends telling why she deleted her Twitter. Then stop releasing videos and life a normal life!

Taylor Swift had been nominated for six American Music Awards. Let's hope Kayne West is not invited! With six nominations she beats out Michael Jackson who held the record of five. Also Swift's Fearless 2010 Tour sells out the first 15 shows within minutes of being put for sale.

French Vogue's "Not So Chic" Blackface Photoshoot

"French Vogue," is probably one of the top fashion magazine company in the world! It's magazine has build the reputation for being nothing less than "chic," "edgy," and of course, "fierrrrrce;" However the events that have taken place for this October's issue of Fr. Vogue have been nothing less than "sloppy", "trashy", and "stunning"; just shameful.

This month's issue displayed a plethora of celebs from Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, and Kate Moss (mag-cover); ALL of whom graced the pages of French Vogue. 25-year old german model, Lara Stone was also giving "face," however...painted from head to toe in BROWN paint.. Yes, I said brown. She was straight-up modeling blackface!

I was shocked!! Not only was this printed in a prestigious magazine, but Ms. Stone had a 14-page spread of her in different poses, outfits, and faces...IN BLACKFACE! Now don't get me wrong, I'm quite aware that France didn't experience what The United States has with the embarrassment, and baffoonery, of white actors in blackface; poking fun at African-Americans (Shirely Temple did this as well) in the past. However, it's quite evident that most countries especially developed ones like FRANCE, would be aware of how this would be offensive; not to mention, the photographer, Steven Klein, is AMERICAN!!!! If anyone should have said something, you'd think he would!!!

Another thought is, why portray a white model as a black woman, when we have so MANY beautiful models of the african/ african american race!? Tyra, Naomi, and let's not forget Grace Jones, and Iman! There are so many things wrong with the way the world is run. I've come to the conclusion that we still have a long way to go with the end of racisim, or the ignorance there of; If it'll ever end.

The Final Role of an Amazing Actor

As Christmas approaches, movies will be flooding the theaters with many being released on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. One in particular released Christmas day is The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

The movie tells the story of Dr. Parnassus and his 'Imaginarium', a traveling show where the audience is given the choice of light and joy or darkness and gloom. The doctor however is burdened with a dark secret. He had made a bet with the devil and won immortality but when he met his true love he made a deal with the devil once again. In exchange for youth, his first born would become the devils at the age of 16. As his daughter nears 16, he once again makes a deal with devil. The one to collect five souls first wins her soul. He enlists a series of characters and promises his daughters hand to the man who helps him win.

What makes this movie intriguing is the fantastic creative imagination behind the story, amazing visuals, and four actors playing the same character. This movie is the last of the award winning actor Heath Ledger and is said to show once again his tremendous talent. Ledgers death occurred on January 22, 2008 during the creation of the movie and created the problem of continuing the film. However, instead of stopping the production and casting a new actor and beginning again, the movie continued with three actors taking his place through out the movie. The actors who took on the challenge are Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Collin Farrell.

Tragedy in College Sports

The recent stabbing of the University of Connecticut football star Jasper Howard has shaken the world of college sports this week. Not only was Howard a 20 year old student athlete, but he was also an expecting father, and the first in his family to attend college.

Although this incident is isolated, and the University of Connecticut does not have a serial murderer roaming around campus, this has an effect on everyone on campus. Imagine having your life quickly taken away from you at the young and tender age of twenty.

I can't.

He was a guy who loved football, loved the college atmosphere, and he can never again experience any of that. Although team captain and punter, Desi Cullen, says that when his child is born, boy or girl, it will have 105 uncles to take care of it.

It is unfortunate that young people have to deal with the death of a friend, a team mate. The only good thing that can come of this is awareness, and the hope that young people will consider the fact that they are not invisible. They will live their lives, enjoy them to the fullest, like this young man once did.
